The American Revolution news continues; "Get Involved!"
Monday, April 20, 1925: One hundred years ago today, the Johnson City Staff-News reported news with a dateline from Boston; the news was brought the readers by the United Press. Readers learned that “With historic ceremony and color, Massachusetts today re0enacted the opening events of the American Revolution 150 years ago.
“Cannons boomed out from Belfrey Still, Lexington, at dawn, and impersonators of Paul Revere and Wm. Dawes, Jr., re-rode ‘through every middle village and farm,’ to sound the ‘call to arms; for the battle of the Old North Bridge, Concord, where was fired ‘the shot heard around the World.’
“The battle (several indecipherable words) by soldiers in the Buff and Blue of the continental army, and the red of the British regulars.
