Friday, November 7, 1900: One hundred and twenty-five years ago today, The Knoxville Sentinel reported news with a dateline from Johnson City and a date of November 6. There were 800 votes cast, which was 200 short of those registered and entitled to vote. A light vote was polled all over the county.”
