Voting, a tragic death, recipes and much more
Friday, November 7, 1900: One hundred and twenty-five years ago today, The Knoxville Sentinel reported news with a dateline from Johnson City and a date of November 6. Readers learned that “The election in this city passed off without any disturbances whatever. The voters went quietly to the polls and cast their votes. There were 800 votes cast, which was 200 short of those registered and entitled to vote. A light vote was polled all over the county.”
