Wednesday, January 3, 1900: One hundred and twenty-five years ago today, the Herald and Tribune reported several short news accounts that were of interest to readers. Some of the news accounts were as follows: “Brownlow of the First District, is the most influential Republican member from the South. He is a tireless worker, and he gets all that is coming to him.
