Happenings in and around Jonesboro
Wednesday, June 13, 1900: One hundred and twenty-five years ago today the Herald and Tribune provided several short news items pertaining to local residents, or those having a connection to local residents. There were also some short advertisements scattered in the news items. Some of each follow: “Shirts of all kinds cheap at A. C. Britton.”
“W. G. Matney, of Johnson City, was down Monday.”
“Highest market prices paid for wool at R. M. May & Son.”
“Evaporated apples 5 cents per pound at Fink & Hickey.”
