Saturday, May 9, 1925: A century ago today, according to the Johnson City Chronicle, “Mr. and Mrs. W. T. Howard are being congratulated over the arrival of a daughter, who has been named Aileen Virginia.”

“Announcement is made of the arrival of little Miss Dorothy Loraine Overton at the home of her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Ben Overton, on May fourth.”

“Mrs. Joseph Laws is seriously ill at the home of Mr. and Mrs. John Hamilton, on Sidney street (sic for Street). Mrs. Laws suffered a stroke of paralysis Thursday.”

“Dr. W. J. Miller has returned from Tampa and other Florida points where he spent the winter season.”
