Wednesday, February 14, 1900: One hundred and twenty-five years ago today, the Herald and Tribune published several short news accounts pertaining to local residents, or to folks in the area. There were also several short advertisements scattered amongst the news accounts. Some of each follow: “C. C. Carson was in town Monday.”

“Shirts of all kinds cheap at A. C. Britton.”

“Prof. McClure, of Alfred, was in town Monday.”
