Tuesday, June 27, 1775: Two hundred and fifty years ago today, the Library of Congress reports that “Congress establishes the northern army under the command of Major General Philip Schuyler, and to prevent attacks from the north, begins planning a campaign against the British in Canada.”

Wednesday, June 27, 1900: One hundred and twenty-five years ago today, the Knoxville Sentinel reported news with a dateline from Johnson City.
