Social events, raincoats, scarlet fever and more
Saturday, August 15, 1925: A century ago today, the Johnson City Chronicle reported news of several recent social events and other items of interest that had recently taken place in the city. Among them were the following: “The O. E. S. Nedle (sic for Needle) Club met Wednesday afternoon at two o’clock at the home of Miss Margaret Woodruff on Chestnut street (sic for Street) with Miss Woodard, Mrs. Bernie Burleson and Mrs. Ray Greenway hostesses.
