Lots of news from Washington County
Wednesday, October 17, 1900: One hundred and twenty-five years ago today, the Herald and Tribune reported several news items; a smattering of advertisements were also scattered among the news items. Some of each are included below: “Thomas Bros. Bought the old mill building near the railroad and have torn it down. They will build on the site a large warehouse, in which to store machinery during the season and propose to offer storage to farmers who wish to hold their grafts. This will be a convenience to many, no doubt. The Thomas boys are hustlers, and wide awake business men (sic for businessmen).”
