Tuesday, February 10, 1925: A century ago today, the Johnson City Chronicle reported several short news accounts about local residents, or those having some sort of business in the area. Some of those accounts are as follows: “Little Miss Mary Katherine Dyer, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. William J. Dyer, 506 Spring street (sic for Street), underwent a successful operation for tonsilitis at Dr. Jones’ hospital on Monday morning. She rallied well from the operation and is getting along fine.”
