A Hallowe'en dance, death of Sam Sells and more
Tuesday, November 3, 1925: A century ago today, the Johnson City Staff-News reported that “An enjoyable Hallowe’en dance was given Monday evening by the Junior Class of student nurses of the Appalachian Hospital, for members of the Senior Class, at the Nurses’ Home on Watauga avenue (sic for Avenue) and Boone street (sic for Street); with the hospital staff and a few friends invited as guests.
