Tuesday, March 9, 1926: A century ago today, the Johnson City Chronicle informed readers that “Complaints as to inconvenience and danger to motorists on account of the enormous passenger busses constantly on the pikes, are becoming more numerous; and recently some motorist (sic for motorists) have reported that they have been compelled to run off the highway to avoid accident.
