Friday, February 1, 1900: One hundred and twenty-five years ago today, The Comet reported several short news accounts. Among them were the following: “H. D. Gump spent Sunday at Bristol.”

“P. H. Pouder was in the city on business last Monday a few hours.”

“Miss Luin Young, of Jonesboro, visited relatives in this city last week.”
