Thursday, June 21, 1900: One hundred and twenty-five years ago today, The Comet, Johnson City’s weekly newspaper at the time, reported several short items of interest; most pertained to local residents. A few of these news items have been mentioned in a slightly different form in previous columns; it is interesting to note the differences in the sources. Some of the news items included the following: “G. C. Harris was in the city on business this week.”
