Some of them follow. “Second Continental Congress Addresses Indian Affairs: The Continental Congress, acting as a unified government for the colonies, established commissions to handle relations with Native American nations in the northern, middle, and southern regions.

“Admiral Richard Howe's Arrival: British Admiral Richard Howe, brother of General William Howe, arrived in North America with a significant fleet of warships, indicating Britain's intention to escalate military action against the rebellious colonies.
