Friday, January 12, 1900: One hundred and twenty-five years ago today, The Knoxville Sentinel reported several short news items with a dateline from Johnson City. Readers learned that “J. Wesley Brown, of Rogersville, Tenn.; Edmund J. Bach, Milwaukee, Wis.; J. l. Jenkins, Knoxville, and S. H. Lusk, Bristol, Tenn., are at the Piedmont hotel (sic for Hotel).”
