George Washington writes his brother; effects of alcohol, a great way to "Get Involved!"
Thursday, July 20, 1775: Two hundred and fifty years ago today, George Washington wrote the following letter to his brother, Samuel; original spelling and punctuation has been preserved.
“To Samuel Washington
“Camp at Cambridge about 1 Mile from Boston July 20. 1775.
“Dear Brother,
“Agreeable to your request I am now set down to write to you, although in the first place I have scarce time to indulge an Inclination of the kind, and in the next place do not know how or whether it may ever get to your hands.
