Friday, June 8, 1900: One hundred and twenty-five years ago today, The Knoxville Sentinel reported news with a dateline from Johnson City. Readers learned that “J. A. Donaldson, the young man of Morristown, who had the fight at the Greenwood hotel (sic for Hotel) in this city, was arraigned before ‘Squire J. M. Martin. After a hearing he was bound over to court. Not being able to furnish a $2,000 bond, young Donaldson was taken to the Jonesboro jail by Deputy Sheriff G. F. Campbell.
