Friday, February 27, 1925: A century ago today, the Johnson City Staff-News reported that “Sam W. Price was the speaker of the day at the Kiwanis luncheon Wednesday making an interesting and timely address on the life of Washington.

“A delightful musical program was rendered by Miss Camille Swann playing the violin, with Miss Wright accompanying on the piano.
