News from Jonesboro
Wednesday, February 21, 1900: One hundred and twenty-five years ago today, the Herald and Tribune reported several short news items, along with some advertisements, all of which would have been of interest to readers of the time. Some of each follow: “Shirts of all kinds cheap at A. C. Britton.”
“J. A. T. Bacon was down from Bristol Monday.”
“J. A. February spent last Sunday with his family in this place.”
“If you want to save money buy you what wear from A. C. Britton.” (This was probably a typographical error for something like this: “If you want to say money, buy what you wear from A. C. Britton.”)
