Sunday, March 17, 1901: One hundred and twenty-five years ago today, The Chattanooga Sunday Times reported several short news items with a dateline from Johnson City, as well as a date of March 16. The news items were featured in the Chattanooga newspaper in a column entitled “Social News of Near-By Towns”. Some of the entries were as follows: “Henry Courch, of Washington, D. C., is here to spend a month’s vacation with his family.”
