Wednesday, January 21, 1925: One hundred years ago today, the Johnson City Chronicle reported that “Friends of Mrs. B. D. Akard will be interested to know that she is recovering nicely from an illness at her home on East Fairview avenue (sic for Avenue).”
“Dr. A. P. Lamm has returned from a business trip to Atlanta.”
“Mr. and Mrs. G. B. Long of North Roan street (sic for Street) have as their guests their nieces, Misses Allie and Minnie May of Winchester, Kentucky.”
