News from Johnson City, empty jail cells, a delayed Easter egg hunt and more
Wednesday, April 1, 1925: One hundred years ago today, the Johnson City Staff-News reported several short news accounts of interest to local readers. Some of them included the following: “Mr. and Mrs. A. N. Pritchard have returned from a visit to relatives and friends in Baltimore and Washington.”
“Mr. and Mrs. Fred A. Russell, Sr., have returned from Baltimore, Mr. Russell having tone to Johns Hopkins hospital (sic for Hospital) for treatment.”
“Mr. J. D. Frawley has returned from a week’s motor trip to Southern points, visiting cities in Georgia, Florida and the Carolinas.”
