Wednesday, February 18, 2025: One hundred years ago today, the Johnson City Staff-News reported “Following an investigation during the past two weeks, Police Officer Fleming and Special Railway Officer O’Dell of Bristol, yesterday arrested on warrants four boys, charged with robbing a Southern Railway freight car somewhere between Bristol and Johnson City, taking a quantity of shoes, and probably other articles.
