Saturday, July 15, 1775: According to Wikipedia, two hundred and fifty years ago today, “The Second Continental Congress continued its efforts to manage the war effort and address economic issues related to the conflict. The American Founding documented a resolution demonstrating the Congress's extensive involvement in managing the war through economic incentives and penalties, which was kept secret at the time. Additionally, George Washington, attending the Congress in uniform, was appointed commander-in-chief of the Continental Army.
