Monday, October 8, 1900: One hundred and twenty-five years ago today, The Knoxville Sentinel reported news with a dateline from Johnson City and a date of October 7. Readers learned that “John W. Hunter, C. W. Cass, and Mr. and Mrs. W. O. Dyer have been on a trip to Washington City.”
